A teenage girl has been refused bail after allegedly vandalising a Sydney war memorial days before Anzac Day services.
The cenotaph behind a returned servicemen's club at Epping, in Sydney's northwest, was vandalised with graffiti between the evening of April 18 and early hours of April 19.
The damage was discovered days after the memorial had been repaired and cleaned for Anzac Day commemoration services.A 16-year-old girl was charged with damaging or defacing a protected place and breach of her bail conditions.
The girl appeared at Bidura Childrens Court on Monday and was remanded into custody until her next court appearance on June 4.
