A Sydney man who allegedly graffitied several trains, causing $10,000 worth of damage, has been charged with 16 offences.

Police arrested the 38-year-old Croydon Park man on Thursday afternoon after a five-month investigation.

He has been charged with 15 counts of malicious damage and one count of goods in custody, over an alleged stolen set of RailCorp keys.
